At Brinker our Diversity & Inclusion initiatives are different by definition. We truly believe that diversity goes beyond simply placing value on differences, it's about taking action, promoting teamwork that draws out individual strengths and reaching out to the communities we serve.
We put this into action every day by seeking out new ideas, encouraging participation and making sure great ideas become reality. This is how real progress is made and why we've made Diversity & Inclusion initiatives a natural part of our culture here at Brinker.
BrinkerHeads know how to work happy. We believe that when team members are fully engaged and working in an environment that draws out their full potential, the company will grow and teams will flourish. We encourage diverse ideas and the people they come from. That means showing respect to all team members at every level of the organization and valuing the unique perspective each person offers.
With brands that span the globe, Diversity & Inclusion training is a key to Brinker's success. Our teams participate in diversity focus groups and community-awareness activities so that each restaurant fits into its local culture, no matter where we are in the world.
We want nothing more that to see all of our BrinkerHeads succeed. And that's why our goal is to drive awareness and engagement by recruiting and retaining diverse talent by providing team members with opportunities for mentorship, professional development and a chance to grow as leaders in their communities.
From top to bottom, BrinkerHeads are dedicated to volunteering in diverse community outreach activities and organizations. Not to mention our restaurants host regular Give Back Nights where they sponsor local non-profit organizations and donate 10 percent of the profits.
Brinker also has a soft spot for education. We partner with the United Negro College Fund and the Hispanic Scholarship Fund to provide scholarships for minority students to further their education throughout the country. And we also support other educational organizations, including Mi Escuelita Preschool, Education is Freedom and Pro Start on a national level.
