Job Summary
The Restaurant Systems Architect is responsible for the development of solution designs for software development, hardware implementation, and selection. This position will support restaurant-wide, micro-service, service-oriented, and component-based architecture plans, in addition to supporting the development of enterprise software, including both high- and low-level designs with precise documentation throughout.
Your Key Job Functions
- Collaborating with various internal and cross-functional team stakeholders to determine technology requirements, and developing architectural designs to ensure success
- Creating high-level technical specifications and create documentation
- Develop a project plan that tracks, schedules, and orchestrates on agreed upon technical deliverables, key metrics, defined goals and action items. Hold team accountable for established deadlines by providing frequent progress reports against pre-defined metrics and goals
- Be the subject matter expert on the Restaurant Systems Teams as it relates to architectural guidelines, general guidance, and training and upskilling other team members
- Guiding, assisting, and removing roadblocks, with the Product Management, Engineering and/or Deployments teams throughout agreed upon deliverable timeline
- Thoroughly evaluate, identify, and troubleshoot critical technology and software challenges and/or issues, while maintaining precise documentation of solutions once developed or located.
- Coordinating with both internal and external QA Teams on testing final products and solution sets to ensure they are functionally complete and meet requirements through code reviews.
- Deliver on architectural designs and ensure solutions meet business objectives by following technology best practices.
- Provide deep subject matter expertise across multiple IT disciplines, including leading design activities, detailed software, IT infrastructure, security, business applications and systems integration.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What You Bring to the Team
- Bachelor?s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
- 10+ years supporting hospitality, fast-casual, quick service or big/small-box retail
- 10+ years of working experience to support technical platforms in a customer/client-oriented service model.
- Proficiency in coding in languages such as C#, Python, Java, Go, SQL, and PowerShell
- Experience in developing secure Integration APIs.
- Experience in front-end development including React Native, and/or other front-end development framework
- Experience with cloud offerings including, but not limited to, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, and AWS
- Proficiency with Software Architecture concepts, design principles, and best practices, standards and patterns
- Experience in container platforms, such as Docker and Kubernetes, including orchestration and experience in technology migrations to Kubernetes utilizing Docker.
- Experience with Native iOS or Android Mobile applications.
- Knowledge of logical and physical technology modeling
- Proven ability to manage both large- and small-scale projects simultaneously
- Extensive experience in technology roadmaps, technical innovation, software development, hardware implementation and project management.
- Having a strong analytical mindset, with the ability to lean into both overall business strategy, while also ensuring attention to detail.
- Proven record of identifying technical solution vulnerabilities and subsequent remediation techniques
- Ability to think strategically in a highly complex environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relations and communicate effectively in both written and oral formats, with guests, business stakeholders, and IT department members
- Experience mentoring, influencing, and leading others of all levels and backgrounds.
- Being a motivated self-starter with a ?can do? attitude, that can lea
