Job Summary
At Brinker, the business analytics team is focused on becoming trusted members of the decision-making process across all aspects of our company. We support our stakeholders by bringing our unique analytical and technical skillsets to illuminate business questions with factual data and analysis. We partner in forming both long-term strategies and tactical approaches. Our job doesn't end at the dashboard or the facts; it ends at the insights we co-create with our stakeholders that lead to changes in actions and goals.
The Manager of Business Analytics will take primary responsibility for interface with our Operations, Marketing, IT and People Works teams in running the best restaurants in the casual dining industry. From cooking procedures to team member hiring and retention, the Manager will bring their technical skillset and analytical acumen to support decision making across the operations of our restaurants.
Your Key Job Functions
- Serve as the primary imbedded analytics resource for cross functional departments like People Works, Marketing, IT and Operations teams supporting their analytics needs for decisions around staffing, operational improvements, and employee engagement
- Work with stakeholders to synthesize operational and employee data into meaningful insights that can be used to drive procedural and employee strategy
- Become an expert on the Triple Dippers and Labor Scheduling of Chili's operations
- Be the primary product owner for reporting and dashboards required to support our ops and people teams:
- Take input from stakeholder to understand what is needed
- Translate those requirements into prototypes that can be pass on to engineering resources for development
- Ensure delivery and uptime of final dashboard products with constant review for necessary updates
- Quarterback our labor and operations test-and-learn process
- Develop testing process including store selection and reading of results
- Determine success criteria and key metrics for all tests
- Execute analysis and report results compellingly back to cross functional teams
What You Bring to the Team.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a finance or analytics position with a focus on business impact, experience with brick-and-mortar retail or restaurants a plus
- Ability to manage, analyze, and visualize large data using SQL at a minimum, Python or R preferred
- Proven track record of using results of your analysis to drive business decisions through strong advocacy and close relationships with stakeholders
- Proven expertise in both visualizing data and storytelling with data to create actionable reports and presentations
- A "self-starter" attitude that thrives in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Strong communication style, both verbal and written, with experience presenting complex ideas to varying levels of familiarity, adjusting style to their experience and needs
- High organization, attention to detail, and project management skills
- Proven ability to influence and build productive and cooperative relationships with team members, stakeholders, senior leadership, and other key partners.
